The EZR33 router requires to insert at least one SIM card to connect to the mobile internet networks. *The SIM card is not included in the package.

3.1.1 - Nano SIM Card

Please use the Nano SIM card (12.3x8.8mm) on the EZR33 router.

Please use activated SIM card in the router. If you are going to use a new SIM card, please follow the instruction from the mobile carrier to activate the SIM card.

CAUTIONS

  • Please use activated SIM card in the router.

  • Please turn off the power while inserting or taking out the SIM card.

Clean the SIM Card

If the 4G router is unable to detect the SIM card or get the error message of "SIM card unavailable", firstly please verify if the SIM card is inserted correctly. Secondly, please check if the SIM card is clean, especially on the golden contacts. If there is dust/dirt/oil on the SIM card, you can follow the below tips to clean the SIM card.

  • Wipe the gold SIM card contacts gently with a soft cloth to remove any dust or oils.

  • If unable to clean the specks of dirt, use a soft rubber pencil eraser to clean the gold SIM card contacts, and use a soft cloth to wipe away any eraser residue.

  • The old SIM card might have oxidation on the golden contacts. You can use rubbing alcohol to remove oxidation. Dampen one end of a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol. Then gently rub the alcohol against the gold contacts on your SIM card. Continue cleaning the contacts until all of the oxidation is gone.

3.1.2 - Insert SIM Cards

  1. Disconnect from the PoE adapter and use the included tool hex wrench to lose all of the four pieces hexagon bolts on the front side of the EZR33 router then open the case.

  2. Use the included SIM pin to push the pinhole gently until the SIM card holder pops out.

  3. Put the primary SIM card on the first slot. Make sure notch in the inside direction and pins face down. There is only one correct way to settle the Nano SIM card into the SIM cardholder.

  4. Carefully reposition the SIM card holder in the slot and push it back gently.
